Recovery and healing can be a lifelong process, and we want all our residents to know that they can always count on Turning Point Recovery Homes in times of need. In order to keep the peace and ease at our recovery homes there are several guidelines that everyone must adhere to. Please read them carefully and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

About Us: House Rules

MISSION STATEMENT

Turning Point’s mission is to assist individuals in early recovery, by providing a safe environment to assist in developing essential life skills in order to reach their full potential.   Turning Point provides good, clean, recovery oriented living for clients to transition into the community and encourages clients to become productive, positive members of society.

VISION STATEMENT

Turning Point Recovery Homes shall have a safe, structured, and affordable facility where our residents may be free of all mind- and mood-altering substances and find the opportunity to approach lifelong recovery.

HOUSE RULES

It is expected for all residents to follow the house rules.  Residents are to read and sign a copy of the house rules which will be kept on file.  Residents can be dismissed from the house for not following any rule.

  1. All residents must remain abstinent from all drugs and alcohol for the duration of their stay and give consent to be drug or alcohol tested by the house manager or owner at any time for any reason.  

  2. Possession or use of alcohol or illegal or synthetic drugs is grounds for immediate dismissal from the house. 

  3. All medication must be mentioned in application and approved by house manager or owner.  Such medication must be kept in a locked box which will be provided. You will be subject to a pill count at any time.  Selling or sharing of prescription medication is prohibited.

  4. A search of the resident’s room, bed, purse, car and/or personal belongings may be conducted at any time that the house manager or management feels necessary.

  5. Residents are permitted guests in common areas only, however this is not a hang-out place, it is a recovery home. Residents may not have any overnight guests.  Overnight guest will not be tolerated.  

  6. You are responsible for the conduct of your guests.  You and your guests must respect the house and conduct yourselves accordingly.  No disruptive behavior inside or outside the house will be tolerated. This includes loud or obnoxious interactions/ conversations.

  7. No pets allowed.

  8. Sexual/romantic relationships between residents is prohibited. 

  9. All fees must be paid by Friday evening at 8pm.  If fees are not paid on time, a late fee may apply.

  10. Residents are responsible for their behavior and are expected to communicate, cooperate and show respect to other residents and management.

  11. Residents will not use violent behaviors or show aggression physically or verbally at any time.  Threats of any kind will not be tolerated. Possession of weapons are grounds for discharge..

  12. All chores must be done in a timely manner.  Consequences and/ or loss of privileges may be given if not completed.

  13. Laundry is to be done in a respectful, considerate manner.  Those with work uniforms have priority. No unusually small loads.  If problems arise, laundry days will be assigned. No shoes in washer/ dryer.

  14. If you answer the phone or door, do not disclose that this is a recovery house.  You are responsible to take and deliver messages. The house phone is not your personal phone.  Please limit your calls to a reasonable time. There are no long distance or collect calls allowed.

  15. Residents must maintain meeting attendance and their recovery throughout their stay at the Turning Point Recovery Home.

  16. Minors are not permitted in the house at any time.

  17. Residents must respect the house and other guests’ property.  Do not borrow without asking other guests belongings or food. No lending. stealing, or borrowing money is permitted.

  18. Be mindful of utility usage.  Please turn off all lights and electrical devices, as well as sinks, showers, etc.  Wasteful usage of utilities may result in a fine left up to management.

  19. Residents must attend the weekly house meeting. 

  20. Curfew is 10pm Sunday- Thursday and 12am Friday and Saturday.  It is your responsibility to contact management.

  21. Residents must clean up after them self and keep their rooms neat and clean.  No physical changes to any aspect of the house are to be made without first consulting management.  This includes the hanging of pictures, mirrors, paintings, television mounts, etc. You will be held responsible for the cost of returning the affected area to its original condition.

  22. Smoking is not permitted inside the house at any time.   This means no smoking in bedrooms, bathrooms or any other area in the house.  Butt cans are provided out front and back of the house. 

  23. No stealing, disruptive behavior, or criminal activity will be tolerated.

  24. You must submit to a random urinalysis at any time.  Once you have been asked, you must remain at the house and have 90 minutes to provide a sample.  If you cannot provide a sample within the 90 minute time frame, it will be considered a refusal. Refusal is automatic termination.  

  25. All rules and regulations are subject to be changed by management at any time.
